My name is Kristen O'Neill, and in September 2008 I was diagnosted with Cancer (Burkitt's Lymphoma)
It has been an extreamly long road along the way through all of this, but I am finally through all my Chemo treatments. I was told awhile ago about the Children's Wish Foundation, and how I could wish for anything I wanted. Alot was going through my mind at that time, what I could wish for, who I could meet, where I could My first wish that came to mind, was just a simple shopping spree, since I didn't know much about the Wish and what you could have and not have. They were telling me that I could have much more then just a shopping spree, I heard from other paitents stories how they were wishing to go on a nice week family trip to anywhere in the world they wanted. It then came to me that maybe a trip to Australia would be nice, but thinking only a week.. I wasn't sure what else I could have. I then was looking on The Children's Wish website, and reading all the wish stories of the other kids. And then I came across Krysta, who got a beautiful large white pony for her wish. I then did some more serious thinking, now I could go on a life time trip , but only then for a week then it would be over. Then I realised, that a horse, a lifetime long bestfriend, that I could go out riding with and spend the days with while I wasn't in school for at least another year. I had already talked with Angela from the Wish Foundation about Australia, but then once I found out about the horse wish, that i could actually have my own horse to call mine, thats all I could think about. I then told her that I had made up my mind, and that was going to be my wish. Angela then got in touch with Cheryl, the one who helped find Melody my horse for me. Melody is a beautiful horse, that I couldn't ask for more of a better wish.
I am so glad to have talked with Cheryl and for her to have found me the perfect horse.
