My wish came true when I bought Lacey from Cheryl Clews through the Children’s Wish Foundation. I have a lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis and when I found out I could get a wish all I could think about is getting the thing that I have always wanted, a pony. So as I was looking through ads over the internet of horses and ponies for sale, one caught my eye and that was Lacey. So after I read about her I still had tons of questions so my mother and I called Cheryl and asked her questions and she sounded like the perfect pony for me! When I went shopping I just had to buy everything pink because I thought she would just look the cutest! I had told Cheryl this and she had an idea to braid Lacey in pink ribbons and bathe her spotless the day she was coming to Sudbury. So the day of I was waiting all day at the barn with my friend; I just couldn’t wait to see her! The trailer came into the driveway and off she came with her mane and tail braided, cleaned spotless and this adorable look on her face. I had just met my new best friend. I am now showing Lacey in little shows, taking lessons and having a great time on the trails. The Children’s Wish Foundation was just amazing and Cheryl was and still is a great help! She is a person I can go to for advice or just some one to talk with. This was more than I could ever imagined it would be. If anyone or even myself is looking for a horse, I know exactly where to find one!
